    You see, they need the root room image 

    Fish, Blood & Bone in the spring and autumn, a good mulch with compost, FYM or leafmould at the same time, some shade over the roots and don't let them dry out or they'll get the dreaded powdery mildew and their leaves will shrivel and drop off.

    If you want to have climbers - as opposed to a shrub or something lower growing - why not try some sweet peas for this year and do a bit of research for next year for a more permanent alternative. 

    Garden Centres will probably still have sweet peas available. If not - there will be lots of perennials or annuals which would give you some colour for this summer. image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Good idea Fg - as well as sweet peas, our GC has thunbergia and Morning Glories ready to plant out image

    The DIY stores here  have tons of stuff just now so I'm expecting to see lots of cut price bargains any day....image

    Perhaps they're hoping it will be another good summer so they've produced more than normal!

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
