ARGH I feel your pain, I’m having exactly the same problem here with the neighbor’s NINE cats (could be more) I have tried everything. Sprays, Pepper, Water etc. Anytime I see a cat I just hiss at it and it knows I’m not happy with it. I think they are all against me. It does not help that she feeds them just outside on the road by the edge of the fence. Which they all love to jump and then use my nicely dug earth as a local litter box. Rant over image Not much help I’m sorry.

Nine cats.... jeez.  I tend to find that cat ownership is generally in inverse proportion to a person's ability to have meaningful relationships with other human beings.  My ghastly mother in law once clocked up four cats.  I cannot begin to imagine how dysfunctional anyone with NINE cats could be image

Id like to point out that not all cat owners are the same, and all this is the main reason I don't allow my cats outside. I dread to think what some people are capable of. Actually I know what some people are capable of I used to work and foster for a rescue. At one point we had 10 cats in the house. Four my own 6 foster rescues and it was perfectly fine. Cats aren't the demons they are painted as UNLESS they have been left entire, and if you do find an entire cat, get it's bits chopped off. I'll even happily pay the bill myself. Because it's those people who give cat lovers like myself a bad name.

Mike - get Amanda to treat you to a good water pistol - then you can sit by your open window and take aim when the marauding felines approach - I understand that you might also have plenty of ammunition available for re-loading image

Don't worry Victoria Sponge. I'm sure that comment was purposefully intended to be so rude and judgemental.  Thank goodness there are kind people out there who give our furry friends a home, especially those who have been mistreated.  Time for me to exit this thread before any more judgements on ones 'ability to have meaningful relationships' are expressed. Off for a cup of tea with my lovely mother in law!! X

Oh no- I didn't take it like that - I'm sure Busy Bee meant no offence at allimage

We all have our quirks and foibles and I hope I can laugh at myself as much as the next person.

Don't have an answer for rose mummy's problem though unfortunately - but it might help to know that as a cat owner I'm not exempt the nuisance from other people's cats despite keeping mine inside most of the day and all night...

I'm sorry - obviously that only applies to some of my acquaintances, and was not meant to be taken in all seriousness, so I apologise to anyone I've offended.  It holds true for a certain type of person, but doesn't necessarily mean all people who have lots of animals, especially those who are making up for the irresponsibility of other animal owners, fall into that category.  I think my mother in law has done more to put me off cats than any cat in the garden possibly could, but that is a very long story involving a very vindictive woman whose jealousy drove her to unbelievable depths.  And some very peculiar neighbours in the past, so I have observed some common traits, but I really don't mean to label everyone.  Sorry again. image

Don't worry about it Busy Beeimage My first reply was intended to be taken in a lighthearted way...

I am suspicious of people who have a lot of pets too as I worry they are not cared for properly... Even though I have 5 cats I couldn't be happier if there were no more animals in the world that needed homes...but we live in a disposable society I'm afraid...

Sorry to interrupt your lion poo thread rosemummyimage
