Hi all,
I'm hoping for some help on a few unknowns in my garden. My husband and I have what was obviously in the past a beautiful garden. I'm trying to work out what to save, first job work out what things are. We've watched for a year and these are one of the things we can't ID. I don't believe it ever flowered last year any ideas?

I'm not seeing symphoricarpus there. But I haven't got a better suggestion so I'll shut up now

Thank you all so much, as a complete and utter amateur your help makes me think I might be able to achieve something in this garden. More to post in a sec which I'm sure are easier.

    Hi

Could it be one of the Spiraeas such as S. douglasii or S.salicifolia? They are little grown now, but used to be grown in urban gardens for their pollution resistance. There flowers are dull pink/red upright panicles.
