damsels in distress (or rather, in dis pond?!)

A beautiful red damsel fly on our pond

    Brilliant pictures thecatsmother! The same visited me this week. first a red, then blue, my pictures aren't as good though.

    We had our first blue damsel fly at our pond today, as well as the usual red ones.  Then we had two different types of dragonfly as well image

    We have the same two colours together here in West Flanders - I wonder if they're opposite sexes of the same species?

    Didn't take any Nut - just sat transfixed image

    One was a female Broad-bodied Chaser, the other didn't stay around long enough to identify.
