Broad Bean feed?

Hi I have planted out broad plants and they look a bit yellow. What's the best thing to feed them with at this stage? GP fertiliser or bonemeal?! Thanks.

  • Janet, the answer should really be GP fertilizer,,,,but if you feel they are in need of a pick-me-up, give them (at the recommended dose) a feed of liquid seaweed.

Bonemeal is a slow release fertilizer usually applied during soil preparation prior to planting out. It encourages strong root growth, which helps plants get established.

I always put some chicken manure pellets in the bottom of the holes when I plant out my broad bean plants. They always do well.

Thank you Johntheeng. Good idea. I have heard chicken manure pellets are good for a Gp fertiliser.
