Hi all 3of my 20hosta seeds haver germinated. Should I take the lid of the propagator off now or leave it on till the others start to germinate( if they will)
I have gold standard, but a couple of them seem to have a virus so they might have to head to council re-cycling.I don't even want them in my compost bins.
It does prefer sun, if it's too shady the gold becomes green.
Back from the shops ... and I seem to have purchased two lovely new hostas. Lady Belle and Dinner Jacket. Ha ha, not sure how that happened! My hosta corner will now contain 9 lovely hostas.
Hostafan, what does the hosta virus look like on the hostas? Is it specific to the Gold Standard?

Oh wow Bal, how exciting! I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure someone on the forum will.

Sorry *Lacy Belle
Oh, how awful. I found this link on the Hosta Virus X
http://www.inthecountrygardenandgifts.com/articles/hosta_virus_x.php
which will hopefully help everyone on this forum at least be aware of what it looks like.
Thanks Hostafan for raising our awareness on this.
