Shadowy spot seeks hardy flowers for safe fun
in Talkback
Does anyone have any suggestions of a plant or flower that can help me fill a void, quite literally? I have a children's slide running from the top of the garden to the lawn, three feet lower, and six feet in length, next to which is the flower border, but to keep the children from reaching out to the plants inside the bed, I created an 8 inch gap, which I need to fill with a plant that I can control, size wise, but, more importantly, is safe against the slide. I tried Eunymous, but that failed to launch, being such a shades spot between the slide and the bed, each rising 8-10 inches each side. Any ideas what would fill the gap?

Ivy if it can't escape to the rest of the garden

Thank you though. It might be my answer to what do I use to keep the shed standing. Once ivy has taken hold it will hold it in place.
I'm surprised you couldn't get the euonymus to go if you mean those variegated ones
