hydrangea

I have replanted a hydrangea in the last month,should i prune the dead leaves now or leave until end of year,it was a beautiful bush ,but new drive way needed,it seems to be taking a few new leaves appearing,any comments would be helpful ,for this novice gardenerimage

    Normally, you cut back bushes by about 1/3 if you have to move them now. If you didn't do this, then you can certainly prune off dead tips now to encourage lower growth. You probably won't have any flowers next year as a result, though.
