Geum 'Mrs Bradshaw' dead/dying - rescue?

I bought two Geums from Morrison's last week, the 'Mrs Bradshaw' variety. They both looked healthy when i bought them, and even though I didn't get chance to plant them straight away I had them in a sunny position and kept them watered.

Anyway, I've planted them and a few days on one is all but dead and the other seems to be following in its path. The leafs are brown, dried and shrivelled up. I've watered them everyday, they're in full sun (as suggested) in a south facing garden. They're not crowded, they're in well draining soil.

They had good roots when i planted them. Is there anyway of saving them? I'm stumped and don't want to lose them.

I find all Geums prefer a cool position. It sounds like yours are in too hot a place.

Try taking them out and potting them up and placing in a  shady position and hope that they grow some new leaves.

Mine are in full sun and romping away, you may have over watered them.
