verbena bonariensis seeds
I've found millions well thousands of little verbena bonariensis seedlings, from last years plants.
I'm potting some up and giving them to as many people as possible as I don't like the idea of just killing off plants that cost money at GC's.
Will they flower this year or will it be next year ? Online it sounds like they will flower this year, but they are so little, I'm not sure I can believe that.
Any tips on how to bring the seedlings on, so I get some decent plants out of it.
Thank you.

Some people grow them as annuals so I should think they'll flower. If they're in a good placeI'd leave them but you could pot a few up for filling in. They start slow but speed up later

I think the answer lies with the weather. If we have a long growing season with some heat and decent rainfall, they might well flower. I have them seeding freely , sometimes too freely , in my garden, but I love them.
thank you. I will maybe spread them around a bit and see how we get in. still have lots of gaps to fill in the garden.
They should flower this year but not until later. Very often mine succumb to the under gardener's over enthusiastic weeding ... so they fail to survive! I re-sow every year and they always flower.
