Wilting Raspberries

Hi All,

I planted four Autumn Bliss raspberries early in spring. One is doing well, one has pretty much died and two are not looking at all good. These two both put on some growth but have now gone all floppy. I guessed it was the hottish weather we've been having and have given them a couple of good deep waterings in recent days, but it doesn't seem to help.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Raspberries need two things, water and food, the recent high temps have meant I've watered mine almost every day. Water in the evening about 8-9pm and give them some FB&B, they should recover, they are shallow rooted so they can dry out quite quickly mulch with some garden compost as well, failing that ordinary mpc.

Thanks Dave, I suspected it was that. Mulching is a good idea. I'll do that!
