Tomato growbags

I'm about to put my tomato plants into large pots soon. To grow tomato plants well, do you need the soil from a tomato growbag or is a mult-purpose compost just as good?

Many thanks, Tina

Multi-purpose compost will be fine -  possibly even better depending on the type of compost and the type of grow bag.

    It's what I use image

Plant them as deep as you can, up to the bottom set of leaves if you can - the stalk will grow extra roots and you'll get a really sturdy plant.

I'm hoping to plant mine later but need to clear space in the GH first which means taking lots of bedding/outdoor plants out! I've bought some of those grow pots and will be putting them on the grow bags with MPC in image

I am using them for my cucumbers too GWRS, I bought a few.  My courgettes are going in buckets but also on the growbags.
