For any clematis lovers nout there, I wonder if you've seen the variety 'Bijou'. A very pretty flower and at just 12 inches high, it's ideally suited to growing in pots.
David, yes a very nice flower although I would ask why. I like my Clematis climbing and flowering at height set off by under planting. I am not quite with this modifying plants to suit a fashion, Clematis are big and blowzy down to small and delicate but at head height where I love them, I do not want a crick in my neck looking for them at ground level. just my opinion of course. I take your point, Frank, though I rather fancy most of us are growing something or other that has been modified in some way.
I like traditional sweet peas, but have no problem with basket varieties.
