Apple tree
I moved into a house last September with a beautiful old apple tree in the garden. It's about 80 years old and cropped very heavily last year. I had someone round to look at it shortly afterwards who told me it looked very healthy.
From a distance it now looks very healthy but on closer inspection a huge number of leaves and blossom are dying. Where there is a cluster of 'apples' the whole section (leaves as well) is dying and falling off.
Apologies if this is entirely normal and a silly question, but it looked quite alarming when I was looking yesterday as it seems to be affecting huge numbers of areas.
Many thanks
Sarah
