Strange growth on Alliumneapolitanum

I planted some Strange growth on Alliumneapolitanum last Autumn and they now flowering but some of them have a strange growth on them. Can anyone please tell me what is happening? I did wonder if it was some kind of gall or is it a seed developing?

There area llium species that make bulblets at the top of the stem. I didn't know neopolitanum did.

Thank you Nutcutlet. If I plant the bulblet, I presume it will grow. I would be grateful fro any advice on planting the bulblet
