Looks like something has been spitting on the roses? .

Not sure what's causing this, but I don't think its the gnomes and faeries.image

Any help appreciated as to what it is and what I could do about it.

Cuckoo spit Caral. It's caused by leaf hoppers. Just squirt a bit of water onto it to wash them off. Doesn't really do any harm image

It's the protective 'bubbles' surrounding the tiny green froghopper larvae - t's not a problem and will disappear soon - just one of the signs of spring - often called Cuckoo Spit because it appears about the time of year that the cuckoo is heard and people thought that's what it was.

The little froghoppers are actually  sweet little things.

If you remove the 'spit' carefully rather than blasting it off, you can have a look at one image
