Strange white infestation in Viola pot

Good afternoon image

 

Was just out watering and noticed these strange white things have taken up residence in my Viola pot.

Any ideas what they are and how I eradicate?

    Looks like some sort of aphid - I use a spray of weak washing up liquid. 


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    They are everywhere.

    How about a spray from the garden centre?

    Ok I will try some washing up liquid. Is it ok to spray the leaves,flowers and soil with this as the aphids are everywhere?
