Apple Tree Leaf Disease

My neighbours small and old apple tree...thinks it sa John Smith....has leaves that are turned in and dry and covered in a bit of white and with brown stains
? Any ideas Friends
Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.

The white coating is likely powdery mildew. Give the roots a feed, a good soaking then apply a mulch. More from the RHS here:
