Same here hops and Busy-Lizzie. I bought a new rhubarb last month from a very reputable garden centre and the plant looked very healthy. It now looks very ill and only one sickly leaf left. I always thought rhubarb was indestructible. Perhaps it is sulking and will perk up next year. Will try to get a picture tomorrow.
taken this afternoon. If it is crown rot can I do anything about it. Can't take it back to GC as is was healthy when I purchased it and the petrol costs would be four times as much as the value of the rhubarb.

Just posting to keep this near the top. Still need more info to make a guess at what is wrong. Did you pick much?

April seems a bit late to sow rhubarb. I picked some in early April.
I've been told it's crown rot. Fungal disease, too much rain.

I can't see the 'crown' - can you take a pic showing the crown where the buds/growth should be coming from?
