weed grows to tree
I live in a terrace house with a bay window. Our next-door neighbours are weed-lovers, nurturing a garden full of thigh-high nettles (a good security method I suppose). Anyway, I noticed that there is now a rather tall and sturdy looking weed, which has a thick trunk (about 2" diameter) emerging between the wall of their house and ours. Can anyone give me any advice on how to destroy it before it destroys our house please? It is nestled between the bay window, and looks fairly firmly wedged!

Cut it off as low as you can and inject Rootout, or whatever stump killer you can get, into the remaining part. drill a hole down from the top and get it well in

Thanks so much. I'll give that a go. How far down do I need to drill?
How close to the ground are you going to be able to cut it? The nearer you can get the stuff to the roots the better

It is in a slightly tricky spot, as the neighbour's wall has a 30cm gap before the house. It is there that it is, nestled between the two bays, so it's a tight little spot. I reckon I could get it down to about 30 cm tho, potentially.
It's going to be awkward to get the drill in as well is it? I'd get in as far as you can and be prepared to do it again if necessary. But once will seriously upset it

Great. Thanks. I reckon it is easy enough to get a drill into it. Our neighbours are dreadfully untidy, so I am sure there will be more room if they will let me move stuff around temporarily.
Thanks so much for all of your help.
