When to feed tumbling toms
Hi can anyone tell me when I should start to feed my tumbling tomatoes.
i have been successful over the years feeding them only when the first little tom starts to grow, now I keep reading that you should feed them as soon as they flower .
Does anyone know for sure ? and what is the difference?

As Ceres says, don't feed until the 1st fruits start to form.
The plant is concentrating on growing (vegatitive stage) at the moment, so forming leaves, strong root system and growing into a strong plant. If you start feeding too early, you'll not get as good a plant and therefore not as good fruits. Once the 1st fruits form, the plant is not concentrating on growing, but producing fruits, that's the time to start giving them some extra food.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Great advice and explanation, Pete8 and Ceres thank you both so much.
