Can someone help me identify this please. It's been in my garden since we've been here and I've never been able to identify it. Thanks image

Yes, laurel - often used as a hedging plant

Thanks everyone, I did wonder if it was but could find no pictures of it. We have never done anything with it, should we do so?

They can grow quite big so you may need to trim it to keep it in hand.

They can take any amount of pruning and even be cut back to near the ground and will grow again.  image

Thanks everyone for all your help, I may prune it back then as I wouldn't want it to get too big. Any particular time of year to prune it?
