What is this poor little thing?

image

 Morning folks,

I wonder if anyone could tell us what this is? and if we've done the right thing.

We found it planted in the garden under a bush, looking like it was in a bit of a sorry state (and in our way) we dug it out and potted it up for now.

We've brought it inside to the warm for now as it looks like the kind of plant that would like it being a bit tropical looking.

Is it too late for the little thing?

Many thanks for your help,

Hi Nathan, looks like a Cordyline to me. Plenty of sun and light free draining compost and it will be okay. In parts of the country they are fine in the garden, they don't always do well in my garden S.Yorks, they get too wet. So I have had them in pots outside and overwintered in the greenhouse.

  • Thanks for the help guys.

I'm glad we did the right thing,  it was looking unlikely we couldn't have made it an awful lot worse though.

I'll go with this advice and see how goes.

    Thanks again.
