Hi all, i have a young Acer Bloodgood that was planted late January and has been doing very well up until last week were the leaves have all died and gone all soggy.

Any suggestions as to why this might be?

    Morning Verdun

It was in pot when bought but I planted into ground now and there was new shoots almost straight away but no sign now of any new shoots just dying.

It';s in my raised bed that I built last year and soil seems to drain ok but the corner where it is ,is partial shade so I'm wondering is it to wet, I was thinking of lifting it out and digging in some grit to help it drain better.

The tree is only about 2ft at the moment.

I had to remove a pale white slug off it the other day which was half way up it?

No I haven't watered it much as we have had a lot of rain so haven't needed to.

Yes got it from a very good garden centre so will give it awhile and see does it improve
