Clematis sulking in pot
I've grown a boulevard clematis in pot for the last 2 years without a problem but this year the growth is stunted and the leaves are a pale lime green colour - few flower buds now developing. Whats wrong with it and can I salvage it at all?

Has it been repotted in fresh compost - clematis are hungry feeders and need regular repotting and feeding. I would use John Innes No 3 with added grit, and I feed my clematis several times a season with Fish, Blood and Bone.
They also need their roots to be shaded and cool , which is sometimes difficult in a pot.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
As Dove says, it's probably hungry if not starving so, if it can't go out in a border, try and find a bigger pot and give it plenty of fresh compost and regular feeding and watering.
I agree with the others, if the leaves are a lime/yellow colour then it needs some food.
