I have a 60m long formal hedge which was around 10ft high and 2 years ago we had it reduced to around 6ft to make it easier to maintan. Its a nice hedge and not bothering neighbours etc
i think the gardeners who did the work trimmed the sides to much as around 30% of the trees on my side have gone brown and i believe this wont grow back
ive been thinking of growing something into it such as clemetis or even ivy to make it look more attractive and wonder if anybody has had a similar problem and when they did to solve it. I could i suppose replace with new trees but...

Its not fungas its just were the gardeners cut to deep. im just really looking for somethng to make it look more attractive and sort of hide it
