If you want to try some exciting varieties from seed,  I can recommend Touchwood aquilegias, the national collection in Wales.

I have a lot of seedlings this year that I  hope will give me good flowering plants next year.

I've got my first flowers this year from Touchwood seed. Sowed late 2012 or early 2013.
