Aphids and rose bush

How often should I spray my rose bush to stop aphids attacking. I'm using a mixture of ecover and water. Many thanks for your help image

It won't stop them attacking but will kill them once they're there.

However I don't use it often - I brush them off with my fingers when I see them to stop them getting too bad.  I don't have a regular regime - just respond to what I see as and when.

Thankyou Dove, I take it you kill them as you brush them off?  I don't have a problem  as yet but did last year. It was new last year, so looks very good and leafy this year after I pruned it. Just want to make sure I can avoid last year's problem image

With the comparative size of my fingers and the aphids, I think their death is inevitable image

i was hoping to avoid spraying with dilute washing up liquid but have had to, i squash what i can with my fingers but with baby liking my fingers in his mouth a lot it's not really a great thing to do at the moment!

soap and water or squash with fingers and let the lady birds have a go too.imageand if you do a lot of squashing with fingers ,wash hands after.
