Identification of a yet another weed
Having got through wild garlic and celandine, I've now come across another weed. Could anyone help me identify it please? I know that I still have to deal with it but somehow it helps enormously knowing what I am dealing with. The photos show (not necessarily in this order)

A section that I've managed to clear completely (note the wild garlic at the back in the wood behind our garden )

Isn't that red campion. Grown by some as a valued wild flower. Grown by me as a blasted weed!
Oh, and celendine.
Looks like red campion to me at this stage - perfect hedgerow plant - I'm sowing some this year in our little wilderness - we've got white campion there already - loved by the pollinating insects - I'd just thin it out and transplant some away from the roots of the hedge.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks so much Welshonion and Dovefrom above. I know you're right because from past photos of the hedge when it was overgrown and a mess there were occasional pink/red flowers.
I want a formal hedge and formal sections of flowers in that area but now that I know what it is, I'll definitely transplant some of them into my wild flower area. They'll look lovely with the forget-me-nots and Welshonion ..... wait for it .... lovely welsh poppies. All of those flowers can reseed and spread to their hearts' content there
Thanks again for your help. This forum is worth it's weight in gold! I'm even getting to the stage now of seeing problems in my garden and remembering them being discussed on the forum
I love welsh poppies; they seed themselves in unexpected places and never become a nuisance.
