Where to plant a Rhododendron Cosmopolitan

Can anyone advise me about the planting position for a wonderful present we have received. I've done all the normal searches but what I really need to know is how big the roots will be. I believe we have a lovely North East corner that it will do well in, but it is close to the house. We want to maintain it around the 1.5 meter size. Will it be a problem?

That sounds fine BHB. The height of a shrub and its root span are generally similar and as this one only gets to about 150cms in 10 years the roots shouldn't be a threat to structures.
