Shady veg patch
in Fruit & veg
I have just moved to a new house and there are 3 areas that were obviously used as a veg patch, problem is they are in shade for most of the day. I want to grow some veg here but don't know what likes the shade. Any ideas please

I used to have a shady garden - I grew Swiss chard, french beans, runner beans, rhubarb, beetroot and carrots.
Good luck
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Kale, salads and Chinese greens should be fine too.
Thank you both for the advice, I'm off to the garden centre! x
Some herbs like it hot and dry, but parsley does better in shade and damp.
