The fruits start to form as soon as the flower has been pollinated. By the time the petals fall you should see a tiny green fruitlet at the centre. Water and feed as recommended and they'll swell and eventually colour up. Then comes the best bit
after a few weeks - it's hard to be precise as so much depends on the conditions. Maybe two weeks at the height of summer, rather longer just now.
The plant will produce trusses of flowers and therefore fruit from the bottom upwards (assuming you're training it as a cordon by removing the sideshoots) and will continue to do so as long as it has enough light and heat, which generally means early September outside and October or even November in an unheated greenhouse.
When you remove the fruit, don't pull them off - gently lift to break the stalk at the 'knuckle' half an inch behind the fruit. This will help it keep longer - although if you're eating it straight away that hardly matters!
Good luck!
Thank you steve
There are so many variables it would be pure speculation to guess.....but my guess would be around 10 weeks from the first set to harvesting.
