eating nibbled radish

All my radish are being nibbled at by slugs and snails (I think!)
Can anyone tell me if it's safe to eat them if washed well, (the radish that is, of course
)
although braised snails are looking very favourable at the moment!!!

Yep. I'd be inclined to wash them as well, unless you like snail slime, that is.

I was just a little worried as I know slugs can pass lung worm to dogs but that's if they injest them.
Wash the radishes - cook the slugs and snails - all will be well

I don't think I've ever seen any garden grown radish that hasn't been nipped by slugs or snails. So (as you mention it) wonder how supermarkets manage to sell them blemish-free,,,,,grown using hydroponics I suspect.
Yeah, you're right guys, all the veg from supermarkets is really bland.
I sprinkled egg shells round my radish yesterday and was very pleased this morning that they seemed to have survived relatively unscathed, although it was quite a nice, dry night. I'll have to see if they're ok tomorrow as it's persisting down as I speak!!
Btw, I decided to try to grow some in a large planter in the greenhouse. Is there any reason why this shouldn't work??? I've a better chance of keeping the pesky beggars away in there.
Think I'll go have a last minute check.... Nighy night.

OH brought me a bunch of radishes home from the farm shop yesterday - we sat and nibbled them in the evening with some seasalt and Lincolnshire Poacher cheese

Gives me wind, summat rotten!
.....force 8 has been recorded. 
Yummy, Dovefromabove, sounds good to me, although I'd swap the Lincolnshire cheese for a lovely lump of crumbly Lancashire.
