Dwarf runner bean leaf wilt. Help!

hi, im an absolute novice at growing anything ( only started 4 weeks ago )  so i thought id try and grow various things all of which was going well untill my french dwarf runner beans and broccoli wilted and look all but dead.

they were doing really well about 4 inches tall big leaves. all grown from seed which were in little seedling trays in a normal propagator inside a small cheap plastic greenhouse. did they get to HOT? will they recover? all the broccoli seedlings went the same way.

many thanks

Yes, they probably good way too hot - the plastic greenhouse should be wide open in the daytime and only closed up at night and in bad weather.

Have they shown signs of recovery?

i didnt realise you need to leave the plastic greenhouse open during the day

The idea is only to cook them when you've picked them  ........... sorry, just a gentle tease image

It's not too late to start again - I'm sowing my beans direct in the ground this week - all the showers we've been promised will suit them down to the ground. image

  • Lol your right. Although the chilli, pepper and tomato seedlings are liking the warmth. Glad you said that as I just planted new seedlings straight into a planter. Fingers crossed they will germinate. Thank you for your response.
