Buddleia

I have a large fast growing buddleia bush growing up between block paving patio bricks close to a wall. It's in a very difficult to reach area and I want to avoid herbicides as it's next to the cat run. Would pouring boiling salt water on the base kill the roots? I don't need anything else to grow there in future.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
