Frogspawn

A few weeks ago there was a large clump of frogspawn in my pond. It has somehow disappeared and I wondered if it has been eaten by something. Still have a frog in the pond but usually by now have loads of tadpoles.

You'll have tadpoles somewhere Lizzy. Tadpoles are cannibals so they eat any unhatched eggs and any dead tadpoles, nature's way of cleaning up. Are there fish in the pond as they will eat frog spawn as well. When the taddies get a bit bigger you'll see them. They will hide in weed and waterside vegitation so dig about a bit.
