Hi Deckchair - could it need watering? They come from Siberia and are susceptible to dry weather.
Also because they come from Siberia the leaves do tend to suffer in strong sunshine so it may be that. Not much you can do about it except remember that it likes moist (but not soggy) soil.
Of course, you know not to harvest any stalks this year as it's been transplanted
I'd give it a good watering and a mulch with some home made compost or farmyard manure.
