Seedling id and what sort of tree would this be ?

1) What are these seedlings ?

I have these everywhere in my flowerbed.  Are they something that has seeded from in there last year ?  Verbena Bonariensis ?  They have like a purple edge to the leaves? Any ideas, they are seriously everywhere so i keep hoeing loads of them but don't want to get rid of them all in case they are something decent. 

2)  Is this a cherry ?  We were told we had fruit trees in our garden (pear, cherry and apple) I thought I knew which one was cherry and it wasn't this one, any ideas ?  The leaves are very red on this tree with a pink blossom and these fruits have appeared now.  Any idea what it might be ?
