New borders

image

Today I edged, dug and planted up these two borders in my new acer/japaneseish garden. I think they look a bit sparce, I am tempted to pop a few more plants in but, I don't want to be digging things out in a years time if everybody's elbowing each other out of the way. What does anybody think? More plants, or step away from the nursery missy?

Plenty enough, the pulmanaria alone will be 2ft across before you know.

You can always pop a few annuals in just for this year

I agree with Lyn, they look fine, but if you feel it looks gappy then plant some annuals. That's what I do too.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
