Shadey shrubs for a planter

I was wanting to put some lavender in some planters on our driveway, but that side of the house is in full shade. I am not sure they will do particularly well there. Is there anything else that is year round, and that thrives in full shade please?

    I have a small rhododendron, yakushimamun, in a pot in full shade. But it is only in flower in May, although it is evergreen.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
