hi alan just acquired one and have planted in the ground with plenty of horsemanure I don't think they would do well in a container if you can plant in the groundimage

The plants are as tough as old boots and can stand -40C as well as not being picky about soil pH, so I'd do as mm suggests, but if it is small grow it on in a 25-30cm pot for a year before planting out, which gave good results for me.  Most web sites say they need a pollination partner to fruit well, so I'd get another - I have 5, two of them are 2 years old now and the others are year-olds.  Some fruit seems to have set on the older ones, so looking forward to sampling them in a few weeks. image

I got a couple of mine from Parkers as they were the cheapest - they are Lonicera Kamtschatica which I think is the most common one but they were very small plants.  I can't remember where the others came from though, maybe Crocus.  Primrose have both Kamtschatica and Moreno as 3 year olds in 3l pots, so perhaps get one of each then you're guaranteed at least 2 types? image
