Alstroemeria
As the weather has been very mild all winter my Alstroemeria has not died back and so I did not cut it down. I now have extremely tall bushy plants but will they flower from the shoots that have been there all winter or should I in fact cut it back?

I'd leave them or you risk cutting out any flowering shoots.
Would you be able to plant these in hanging basket in their first year and then transplant ? I read that they reach but 70cm by the third year, so wondering if in their first year, would be smaller ? Possibly a daft question but am a newbie ......
