    Sorry - went outside as it warmed up ! Yes I'd agree with gg about just keeping it tidy just since it's all very new. It'll take a little while to get established and get a decent root system and then it'll grow very quickly and you can just let it grow to the height you want and then maintain it. Don't let it go short of water over the summer if it's very dry and keep any competing planting or grass well clear of it. By this time next year it'll be a decent size. I'd use compost or bark to mulch it as I'm not a fan of clippings personally.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Yes I like the yellow variety as well, but when we went to buy for a hedge there was only the green on offer. It's doing really well now, thanks everyone ????
