Primula Victoriana
in Plants
My newly planted primulas have finished flowering. I read somewhere that I should now move them to the shade to "rest". Will they overwinter if I pot them and keep cool and should I feed them anytime? I don't want to lose them. Thank you

Are they the gold lace type Susan? I had some in a trough last year and they hav'nt come back this year. I think primulas do better when they are planted in the garden, I don't think they need shade to rest in. My other primulas just stay put all year round, bit of feed in spring, and a bit of dead heading occasionally.
Hi Lisa, Yes they are the lace type. I think I will follow you and leave them alone and hope they come back next spring. Thank you.
