Moving beech hedging

    It’s not the distance that’ll damage the hedge … it’s the root disturbance … you would need to cut it very hard back to give it a chance of surviving … 

    … so I would do as @Fairygirl suggested and plant a new hedge this coming winter …. but in addition to that, what about a ‘window’ through the existing hedge to open up and frame the view to the fields beyond ?
