Willow affected by drought
We have two wilows in our garden. The one with it's roots under the grass seems to have died. The little growth that started in March has died off. It has no leaves at all now. The other is in full leaf, roots in the shade. We presume it's drought but will it recover? It's about 30 feet high and a really sturdy tree - we thought.

At that size it should do so, yes. It's not uncommon for mature trees to shed their leaves in drought, and they're usually OK.
