how long from seed to fruit?

B3B3 Posts: 27,456

I got f free packet of mixed perennial seeds about 7 years ago- I like surprises!

Two of the seeds have turned into trees. The shiny bark and slightly hairy leaves make me think they might be fruit trees. I keep them pruned but have left some branches in case it flowers on old wood.

My question is: how long does it take a fruit tree to fruit from seed?

Could you post a photo?  The answer will depend on what the tree is

It depends on what they are - I'm not sure about fruit trees with hairy leaves image

Can you post us some pictures please?

Will send photos. Had compared leaves to my Apple and plum trees. You're right. They're not hairy .

To post pics click on the green tree icon on the toolbar above where you type your post, and follow the instructions.  Don't think it works on  phones or tablets.
