holiday proofing the greenhouse

So, I'm going on holiday for 10 days in a couple of weeks time. My greenhouse has automatic opening roof vents, and depending on the forecast, i might leave open the louvre vents and door.  With regards to watering, I'm contemplating using capillary matting, with a reservoir of water.  Will a washing up bowl with the matting end dipped in be sufficient? Does the reservoir have to be at a lower level than the staging for it to work? I'm hoping to get it set up a few days before we go, so that I can check it all works OK.

It will be for veg seedlings and tomato plants, all in pots.

Thanks folks!

I stand my trays /pots etc on soaking wet newspapers,  and its always worked okay for a week away.

I hadn't thought of using newspaper. Doesn't it go mouldy though?

I'de be inclined to set it up a few weeks before and have a trial run.

I put my pots in gravel trays and ask a freind to water every couple of days, she knows what to do now and how much to water.

The deal is she can pick as much stuff as she likes whilst I'm away and I leave a big bunch of flowers, nice bottle of wine and a few bottles of real ale on the kitchen table.
