I have a lavender in a pot which I bought three weeks ago,the leaves seem to droop down and very few are upright with buds on,is this ok or should I be doing something to help it
I think i'd be greedy if I had that, I'd bury it with the crown below soil level. Doing so would encourage all the lax growth to root into the surrounding soil- new free plants after a while.
You can trim it back, but DONT cut into the old wood. But for me it's been neglected by the retailer, and I'd use it for cuttings.
Thanks Dave for your help,I will stick it in the ground as you say and see what happens,it was very cheap so im not to bothered if nothing comes of it.
once again many thanks for taking the time to reply.
