harvesting my early potatoes
I started Pentland Javelin potatoes in a bag at beginning March, and gradually earthed them up. They have plenty 'top' on them. Can anyone tell me when they are they likely to be ready, please? Thanks, Maggie

Should be ready mid July.
Thanks Edentoy.
Should I be giving them any fertilizer - if so what?
I usually give them a top dressing of chicken pellets or growmore granules.
When they flower, dig a little around the plant and check the size of any potatoes you find, without detaching them from the plant. If they are still too small, replace the earth and wait awhile.
thanks everyone. Maggie
